They can be adjusted a bit. 2 to 4 bolts to loosen up. push it down a little at a time. And check. Also there are rubber buttons on each side of the frame, under the hood the can be raised to touch the bottom of the hood.

Trunk pop open when driving

close hood and lift up on hood to see if it stays closed.
if not, check inside car to see if latch(that you pull) is in the correct position. you can tell when hood is closed that there will be some tension on latch.
check under hood, where hood closes on latch of hood, is tight and secure(no loose bolts)
also check cable if broken.
only those things can cause hood to pop open.
if all visual inspections check out and still continues to open while driving then the latch (the mechanism that hold the hood down) is bad. vibrating while driving will cause it to open.

Glove box rattles hood rattles over bumps

there should be adjustment posts on the hood, you could raise those or lower the latching mechanism.

you might also be able to adjust the glove box latch to close tighter

Hood is jammed closed, inside latch will not release hood.in side latch is fully up, no pop on hood. hood is locked tight

I am not familiar with this particular car, however MANY times I have opened a hood by having one person hold the lever up (or out), while another presses down or hits with a closed fist, the hood near where it latches. After you get it open, thoroughly clean and lubricate the latch mechanism. I hope this helps you get in.

Can not open the hood on a 2009 sierra with the hood latch

sometimes the hood adjustment for the latch is too tight, pull the hood latch, go out to the hood and press down on it at the latch location, push hard and release quickly, then adjust the latch before closing hood

My 92 ranger XLT hood will not close, 4 cyclinder,

In the front of the hood latch ( to the left and right of the unit) there are two mounting screws that actually hold the hood latch piece together. If those screws are loosened the latch can be moved left and right. Align the latch piece to the hood to make sure the hood catches. As long as the latch itself will work by pushing it down this works and it also helps with tight tension issue on the pull chord from inside of the cab.

2000 Chevy Blazer with Broken Hood Release. How do I open the hood

can you reach the cable itself?,or is it broke at the hood latch?IF its not broken at the outside latch, try to follow the cable,un-hook it from the handle and pull on the wire cable to open it.IF its broken at the latch itself, you are going to have to reach the latch through the grille and try to pull the lever the cable connects to.That part is no fun at all..!!

Hilux hood rattle

Yes! That is the purpose of those rubber guides. They actually should be half compressed when hood is latched. Many cars have adjustments for these!
