Question about 1995 Volkswagen Jetta

1 Answer

RSP: 1995 VW Jetta AC

I figured out why my Upper vents aren't working, now I need to know where the AC condensate drain line comes out on the bottom of the car, because its plugged. Or how do I get to it to clean it out.

Look under the passenger side dash and you should see a rubber tube ,if you cant see it then look for the outlet pipe on the lower firewall and spread the rubber pipe and sort of shake it about a bit .that should do it .

Hello, I can't seem to find the right fuel pump for my '95 VW Jetta III GL... I have searched many parts that "should" be the right one, but aren't. The fuel pump's VIN # is...

Hi I had a look at your pic and never show one of those pumps in a vw before I think the only place to get it is at a place that sells after market parts, take it to a shop and mach it up with what they have.

How to check transmission fluid level

Most 1995-on VW models don't have a transmission fluid dipstick for checking the transmission fluid level. To fill and check the level of the VW automatic transmission fluid you have to remove a plug on the side or bottom (location depends on model and if you have an automatic vs. manual transmission) of the transmission drain pan. The factory manual refers the expensive VAG 1924 special tool for pumping the VW automatic transmission fluid into the oil pan.

Where to add gear oil to transmission on a 1995 vw jetta manual trans

you must get under the car, there will be 2 large bolts that should jump out from the rest. the lower 1 is the drain, the upper 1 is for adding fluid. Manual trans dont have fill necks or dip sticks under the hood like automatic transmissions.

I have a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Surpreme and the AC blows out of the deforst lower and upper vents but does not blow out of dash vents. Any suggestions?

check the vacuum line that comes to the firewall. It should come off the intake manifold and then branch off to the firewall. sometimes they get disconnected or broken.

1995 vw jetta gl air conditioner fuse 2.0 l

You may not be full of refrigerant... There is a low pressure switch that prevents the AC from actuating the clutch, and the reason is: IF there is not enough refrigerant, you will not be able to move oil through the system and you will have major damage...so no engauge...

Get the system checked, most likely there is a leak somewhere..

MY 95 Jetta's AC is cooling just fine, but the air wont come out of my Upper vents, jsut the floor. What do I need to fix/replace?

There is a flapper door in the vents on your dash. It sounds like something is cathcing these doors. The only problem is that this is a pain in the neck to get to to resolve.

Condensate blown out of the AC vents in front of passenger seat

U need to crawl under the car and clear the ac condensate drain, it is a rubber pipe on the passenger side that sticks out of the bottom of the engine firewall, they get clogged and water builds up in the ac and this problem happens.

Would you happen to know??

If your ac condenser is cracked it may have already lost the charge if thats the case you can replace the radiator and condenser and then have the ac recharged to r+r them you will need to remove the grill headlights&bumper cover then raise the car high enough to have room for them to come out the bottom so even if dont need to have help dealing with the freon it may be wise to have a shop do this job for you anyway. good luck with whatever you decide to do .slogrupp
