Sitting at a light and car shut off and crank back up but slower crank than usual, I have a 2005 nissan altima

Check the charging system you might have a bad or weak altenator you should have 14 volts of the battery with the engine running good luck anytime a battery run below 12 volts the fuel pump loses pressure causing it to stall remember you alway have to have 14 volts r the engine will stall

What would cause an audible vibration under hood when car is running at low speed with ac on? Turn ac off, no rattle. No warning lights come on.

Could be just about anything.
The engine is under extra load when the ac is running. So any small vibration is amplified with the ac on.
My first guess would be a weak motor mount if the vehicle is several years old.

Why does my engine go dead when I turn my ac on in my 2001 Isuzu rodeo?

stalls, is the word.
here they all, each takes, simple tests.
  1. battery weak.,and dischaged for 3 possible reasons, 12.6v id good 13.3-15v good running. not less.
  2. A/C compressor seized.
  3. ISC/IAC bad on the engine, idle controls totally dead. RPM low.
  4. Horrid loss of engine power, if car will not move fast , this be it.

i think that is it.

Car runs rough at start up backing up

stalls. is the word
the engine stalls not car. err both.
and is what and A/T automatic,
this very low engine power.
idle control failures.
only 2 , macro reasons.
1: weak engine (50 causes)
2: ISC dead. (i didnt say bad, many reasons for ISC system to fail
one reason is #1, the ISC can not make a weak engine strong,

a weak engine, is just that , due to misfiring (gross) or way lean
fueling.
one cause of 50 , is EGR stuck open,
A good tech finds out easy 1 or 2.? reason.
doing simple test. ask.

it's like a water faucet at home.
you open it (ECU) the valve, (ISC) and no flow, or weak? seen?
is it the valve bad? or the water company failure.?
we do tests. ask, if DIY person, the tests can go for hours.

Engine stalls when turning on the air conditioner

The ac puts a strain on the engine anyways but if it stalls there must not be enough voltage to run everthing.could be the alternator or weak battery.

I have a 92 Honda civic lx and it keeps stating alts and batterys . Anyone have an idea what it could be?

You either have a weak alternator, or a bad battery. The best way to test is to disconnect the neg. battery post while car is running. If the car stalls, you have a bad alternator. If it stays running, it is probably a weak battery. Check the belt as well cause if it's slack, it can cause the lights to go on. Good luck please rate this solution

Van runs good then stalls out. then hard to start. If i let it sit for 5 minutes it starts again no problem. Then stalls again shortly there after.

This sounds like a failing camshaft position sensor and weak crank shaft sensor .When crank shaft sensor gets weak it will stop functioning. When crank shaft sensor stops working then ECM will not control fuel system and the fuel will stop flowing. And this can cause the problem. When crank shaft sensor gets heated it will stop working, but when the car shuts off, the sensor gets cold and works for few minutes and sensor again gets hot and it stalls. ---------- Get the crank shaft sensor tested on your Chevrolet venture. ---------- There are many other possibilities for this stalling problem, but crank shaft problem is indicating in your case. 1997 Honda CRV, over 219,000 miles. Stalls out periodically even though it starts OK. Can be pulling out, running engine at low rpms and it stalls. May be related to electrical as it is more likely to...

Considering that it occurs more often with the a/c on, it is most likely a problem with either your battery, where it is too weak to sustain the engine output, or with your alternator. I advise checking your battery, and if that isn't the problem, checking your alternator. If neither of those seem to be the problem, its also possible that it is your torque converter, or a skewed setting in your ecu, both of which would most likely need to be checked by a professional.

the price for the ac service sounds steep. The Stalling can be caused by ac but I have not came across this at high speed. Did they replace the Crank sensor?? Or the ICM? These can cause these issues. The crank sensor more so than the ICM. The cam sensor usually does not cause a stalling that I have ever dealt with. they will cause some issues but not at high speeds.

What causes a1994 honda accord engine to stall when the air conditioner is turned on

plugs and wires time ! Most likely, as when the engine takes that kind of load (it works much harder when ac is turned on) weak plugs and or wires wont keep the rig running. Imports like yours have a plethora of things that are interconnected... that or your AC condensor - compressor is bad- and when it engages on your engine, (one of the things the serpentine belt is connected to) it CANNOT turn on the inside, and since it is trying to turn your compressor-condensor at the same time as everything else, it just stalls out. If you can live without the ac, you can usually buy a belt that will be shorter for non-ac versions of your car, or it will have a seperate belt all on its own. the compressor-condensor is the peice with all the metal tubes and rubber tubes around it. This will also give you better mileage. Have a nice day!
