1.Turn the truck on and turn AC on HIGH
2.Locate the low side AC line (will have a valve and cap similar to the cap on a tire)
3.Insert the oil or R-134A can to the hose (Do not turn the screw to puncture the can yet)
4.Insert the other end of the refill hose to the low side valve
5.Puncture the R-134A can with the screw on the refill hose
6.You should feel the system suction the refrigerant out of the can
7.Check for frost on the AC lines and the air blowing inside the truck
8.If frost develops and the air is cold, you've successfully recharged the system and disconnect the refill hose. DO NOT ADD MORE REFRIGERANT...overcharging the system will damage your compressor and will be less effective
Hopefully this answers your question and you're able to get your AC working again. Best of luck.

Need location on where & how to add refrigent or freon to 1995 chevy corsica

Look for the Air conditioning compressor. Find the two aluminum hoses coming out of it. Trace it backwards and you should find two valves that look like tire valves, one is smaller than the other. If you have an aftermarket freon can with the line connector then it will only fit on one of the fittings.

Air conditioner wont work

You need to check your freon level. Go to your auto parts store and pick up a can of freon with a gauge and follow the directions on the can.

Air conditioner does not blow cold air.

Your freon level is most likely low. You can either take your vehicle to a mechanic to charge your a/c system or go to your local auto parts store and purchase a can of freon with a gauge and hose on it. Read the instructions and charge your system with freon.

Where do u recharge the air conditioner for a 95 corsica?

if you know where the a.c. compressor is,follow the aluminum lines coming from it. you will find one with a protrusion wit a plastic cap on it. remove the cap and you will have the point that you plug in the r134 coolant hose, that you get at any auto parts store, you attach the refrigerant can to the hose, invert it and remove when empty. if your system is outta refrigerant it will take 2 12 oz. cans. takes about 15 mins.

1995 j30 air conditioner just blows hot air. set to auto and no noise from compressor. happened all at once, working when car was shut off but not working when restarted. compressor going bad or a switch...

I would start with adding freon to system, from what you are stating freon is low. You may have a small leak, so use freon with leak seal, also use freon with gauge so you dont over fill and blow orings.

Why does the air compressor still run with the air conditioner on even though there is no freon in the system? It cuts off normally when the system is turned off, but starts up again when turned back on. I...

Why are you running the a/c with no freon. The compressor will run even if you have no freon because it has no way of knowing there is no freon sensor in any vehicle i know of.

AC is not working

Sounds like the A/C system just needs to be recharged. When was the last time you had this done? Just take it in to your mechanic and he can do it for you and if that's not it for some reason, then he will be able to find the problem but most likely you need more freon added.
