Do you have standard environmental controls or are they of the digital type for one? As far as the RPM's dropping hard, you can have a dry compresser. try a can of " R134 with oil " sounds to me that if all this just started happening with the HOT air and the engine rpm's dropping. you may heve a leak in the system, and if you continue to run it you can cause sever damage to the compresser.

2002 trailblazer starts then dies immediately

Usually a stalling problem in hot weather is caused by an electrical part getting overheated such as a coil or a relay, or a fuel problem.
I doubt the O2 sensor would cause it to stall that quick. And if a sensor fails it should turn on the warning light.
You might want to have the computer scanned for codes even tho the light has not come on.
How many times do you have to start it before it keeps running ? Will it stay running if you open the throttle ?

2002 ford escape red hot exhaust spudders and rpms drops to almost stall

Carol Ann,
Your catalytic converter is plugged up [restricted] This is causing the exhaust to get red hot and causing the reduction in power. You need to replace this part [$$$} The catalytic converter failed because you have been driving the car for months with the fuel mixture excessively rich.
You need to find and fix the cause of the rich mixture or your replacement catalytic converter will also fail in a few more months.

My 2002 Trailblazer is blowing cold air when I want heat.

well it could be several problems. first could be a bad thermostat that is stuck open or a possibly your heater core is plugged. also could be the switch that changes it from cold to hot. hope this helps but if your not mechanically inclined take to a shop

2002 New VW Beetle is only blowing hot air out of vents even when set on cool. I was driving and I made a turn at an intersection and all of a sudden the cool vent air turned to hot air like I had the heat...

On the bottom of the air unit is the lever that changes temps. It likes to fall out of place.I propped mine back with a piece of half-inch copper pipe a couple of years ago.Remove glove box then panel on front side of console to access.

1998 V70 Turbo stalls/won't re-start after engine hot

First change fuel filter and then change air filter. A turbo requires good air flow to spool-up correctly
