Sounds like a low battery. Try jumpstarting it. If that fails then it could be the starter or the solenoid on the starter has gone out. You could also have a loose connection, check the battery wires and the heavy wire to the starter from the battery. Make sure there is no white and/or greenish powder around.

Cannot start loud fast clicking noise

Clicking noise would indicate starter solenoid faulty! This would also be the case if battery low but since you have a new battery you can look at the starter solenoid!

2009 hyundai sonata ,makes a grinding noise when starts, and it will start while the key is on the , on position it doesnt have to be in start position to start.it also grinds when i go from drive to park....

my 2009 Hyundai Sonata was making a grinding noise like the starter was locking up i would move the key a little back and noise will go away everyone i brought the car to said it was the starter except one mechanic said its a starter relay switch on the ignition so i took his word on it and paid $100.00 the problem is fix so before you spend over 300.00 for a starter ask about this most mechanic will say if it not the problem he will credit the $100.00 towards the repair of the starter

2011 hyundai sonata won't start. battery seems fine. loud clicking/knocking when i turn the key. would it be the starter?

Unusual for the starter to fail on a one year old car.
You are having it towed to a dealer for warranty repairs, right ?

The ignition turn and the relay click the starter don't turn

Sounds like the starter mtr is at fault if you lightly tap with a hammer while holding key in the start position it may try to turn over..if it does turn over then starter needs replaced

02 Chevy Cavalier - Fast Clicking Noise When I Turn Key

your battery isnt holding enough charge to crank the starter.thats what the clicking is. try charging you battery for a good 8-10 hours, if it still does the same thing you'll need a new battery.

I have a 1996 jeep cherokee and when I turn the key it makes an electric type noise. It doesnt come on it just makes that noise. When I tried to jump start it came on then while on the battery gage went...

Sounds like you have a short somewhere under the dash. Could be anything. You are going to have to have someone check it out or troubleshoot it yourself, which can be a huge hassle.

In my Sonata I went out to start it and it just made clicking noises. What does that mean?

This sounds like your starter or starter relay went. Check fuses to make sure they are all good.

Depends on the sound that it makes when you turn the key over.

Clicking noise...usually the starter

If it sounds like its going to start, but doesnt, most likely the battery.

If you have replaced the battery recently, then its the alternator.

Sometimes there can be oil build up over the spark plugs so it doesnt get the spark to start.

Hope you get it fixed!!
