Unfortunately from your lack of information---no
engine numbers mean nothing without other identifying material
look at the side of the block as some manufacturers cast a logo into the metal ( 3 diamond for mitsubishi, gm for GM etc)
a photo would help---petrol/diesel, no of cylinders

Testimonial: "MOTORCYCLE ENGINE"

as I said -- a total lack of information as you are in the cars and trucks category , not motor cycles

How do I figure out the nomenclature on the engine stamp on my 2006 Hummer H2? Laser Stamp is C31106420.

well first go to GM and ask for RPO look up from VIN
learn the engines (day1new) RPO code!
first.
the dealer can use the engine serial number too.
the service manual shows how to find, all VINs
engine and tranny seriels. in chapter 1.
Gm makes this all so easy so do it. ask them,.

Key fob will not work 2009 forester

I have a few trouble shooting tips for the problem with your Subaru Forester key fob.

1) Make sure you have the correct key fob part number. There are a couple different part numbers that are almost exactly the same.

2) Wipe the board
The board inside your remote can get a lot more filthy than you think! When the board is dirty it can prohibit the contact to the circuit board when you push down on the button. Simply wiping the circuit board off can make your key fob like new again!
3) The old car battery reset trick
I know this sounds absurd, but it works sometimes and is worth trying. If you exhausted all of the options above, disconnect bot terminals on your car battery for 10 minutes. Then reconnect them and try your key fob. This has worked for many people and I have no idea why. If you do, please comment below to explain.

4) Not sure where you bought the new key fob from, but some of the suppliers on eBay can be knock off quality. Try sending the one you purchased back and order one from here:

1999 jimmy odometer stopped working

My guess would be a bad connection at the harness for the cluster, or a problem with the printed circuit board inside the cluster.

Just wondering What my engine is out of. i bought it as a 350 Chev but not sure exactly if its a 350 or not. engine number KO314CMJ casting number 3970010

Hey spoofy, that is a good block casting...Chevy used that from 1969-1979. The Vette, Camaro, Chevelle, Nova, Monte Carlo and Trucks all had this engine. If it's a 4 bolt main, the chances it came out of a Vette are very good. The engine number you give does not cross reference.
I hope this helps.

Bought saturn SL 2000 at auction, drove it home and it's steaming out of radiator cap, filled with new antifreeze and bought new cap, appears to be leaking out and there is a light on on the dash of course...

The light is letting you know that the engine is oveheating. You did not mention how many miles are on the car, so the over heating could be a number of factors; Thermostat is stuck closed, cooling fan is not operating, radiator is leaking...to name a few.

Just bought a chevy malibu 2009 wont start

Thats a BIG only problem. Did you ever hear it run?? Do you have the correct key? I would have a shop look at it, maybe the engines fried ,and that why you dont buy cars at an auction unless you know what you are doing.
