Where do you check the transmission level on a 1995 Polaris 425 Magnum. How do you add fluid?

on any vehicle with an automatic transmission, there are two dip sticks. One to measure oil level, and the other transmission fluid level( typically labled 'check with engine running in park'). To add transmission fluid requires a funnel to introduce fluid via the dip-stick tube.

If you have a manual transmission, then you don't need transmission fluid, you need gear oil, which can be measured at the transmission and added at the same port.

How do I add transmission fluid to a 1999 Ford Expedition

The vehicle should have a dip stick where you can check the transmission fluid, that same place where you pull the trani dip stick out is where you refill it. Remember to keep the vehicle running for a couple minutes before checking the level and do not turn it off, unless you filling it up or adding some fluid. If there is no dip stick then you will most likely have to go to the dealorship and have them take a look, in some cases depeding on model the dip stick will not be there.

Hope this Helps!

Where do you add transmission fluid in 2006 chevy uplander?there is no fluid bbut we can't find where to add more.also we herd weird pulling sound and van started to over heat some.Thank you for your help

Automatic transmition fluid is added through the dip[stick tube. You should use a funnel that is long with a small opening. Auto Parts stores carry funnels just for this purpose. Add small amounts and check the level frequently when adding fluid. the difference between low and full is usually about 1/2 of a quart. If you over fill an automatic its a pain to get the excess fluid out. Check the fluid regularly for a while and add as needed or take it to a mechanic and have them do it.

Where does one dump in transmission fluid on this vehicle?

On most cars you put the transmission fluid down the same tube where you check the level. You want to ad just enough fluid, putting too much fluid in will do as much or more damage than running it a little low. On your dip stick there is an area usually mark min and max you want your fluid in between these lines. On most vehicles the difference between min and max is about 1/2 pint. There should also be printing on your dip stick telling you what type of transmission fluid to use.

Wanting to know where to add the transmission fluid to a 2003 Chevy Cavalier Automatic

Automatic transmission fluid is added at the dipstick tube. Remove dipstick from tube, wipe and reinsert while engine hot and running at idle, park or nutral ok. Add 1/4 quart at a time in same tube untill fluid level is at full mark. Do not mistake engine oil dip stick for transmission stick.

How much transmission fluid does my car hold?

I assume you are talking about an automatic transmission?
If this is the case then the torque converter is what holds most of the fluid. I am sure it holds at least for quarts. After you have added that much you can then start the engine with the emergency brake on and the gears in the neutral postion. Check the dip stick to see if any fluid is showing on the stick yet. If not then add another quart and so on until you see the first signs of fluid on the dip stick. Once fluid is apparent on the stick then you will switch to pints. The dip stick reads in pints unlike the oil dip stick which reads in quarts. So just keep adding a pint until the dip stick shows you the full mark. Remeber this is done while the motor is running and the gears are in the neutral positon with the emergency brake on. I hope this helps you, Raz

Where does the transmission oil go

If your car has a manual transmission , there won't be a dipstick or filler tube. Oil (fluid) is added through a plug on the top or side of transmission , depending on your vehicle make or model

Where do you fill the automatic transmission?

If you have a tranny dipstick, then you would need a long tranny type funnel and fill there.
If you do not have a dip stick, then you would have to raise the vehicle, and look at the tranny. There will be a higher and a lower plug on it. Remove the higher plug and stick your finger in the hole. If you feel fluid, then it is full.
