Tried fix the brakes and nothing is right!

I bought 1972 VW 411. Previous owner had a problem with the brakes system and paid to 2 guys 1,000 to fix and never got it done right. And so I bought it from him and did it myself. And I know what the brake feels like when I first bought it and it feels the same after i replaced a rebuilt master cylinder and then bleed all 4 bleeders like 3 times making sure no air and I seems don't see any air at all and the brake doesn't work at all. wondering what s wrong cuz i even have a rarest VW 411 manual book and i read the direction and followed what it said, nothing got the brake works. Help me out!

Just rectified my problem today with my vw bug thanks to some great people on this site. Try to clamp all (4) of the rubber hoses that go to the wheel cylinder (or calipers if discs) to isolate the master cylinder. Pump the pedal slowly and see if it holds pressure. If not it could more than likely mean a bad master. If you don't feel comfortable clamping the hoses and you want an absolute seal, plug the master cylinder with metric brass plugs where the brake lines go in and then slowly push the pedal.
Make absolutely sure you have no leaking anywhere in the brake system first. Good luck.

Possible bulge in the brake lines somewhere? Any fluid leakage? Adjustment at the wheels correct? The piston units may not be anygood, heave you pulled off the wheels to check to see if they move at all? The rebuilt master cylinder still may not be any good also.

Just bought a 1988 Fleetwood Bounder RV. I no absuloutly nothing about rv's..Any suggestions?

If you did not do this before you bought it, you need to have a thorough professional check done over the vehicle to see what mechanical issues need attention. There will be numerous items to deal with on a 1988 unless it has been meticulously maintained by previous owners which is probably not likely. In particular, the brake system, steering, suspension, engine and transmission, the electrical systems are all important to run very thorough checks on.

If it were mine, I would not be driving around in a vehicle like that without thorough mechanical checks/inspections being carried out.

Parking brake light stays

open glove box, take out opr, guide, no year stated, 1972 PU?
no year, no joy but in general
brake lamp on.
1: parking brake stuck on. or switch to it bad.
2: main braking system failure.
3: low brake fluid, in master cylinder filler.

i think every opr guide made says that, not just a 1972 , lol

You are describing a bad ignition switch. These fail in such a way that the voltage to the ignition fails while in the crank position.

Hello, i just bought my 03 blazer this week. the guy i got it from had told me that he just put on new rear brake pads. my back tires were leaking brake fluid. when i took off the tire..both calipers were...

my guess would be that the guy took it mud ridding broke the calipers and either lied or exagerated but either way now you should try replacing the both entire units and check for the leak afterwords

1972 VW classic. Starts when cold, NP, won't

It's your starter. When a faulty starter is cold, it will function but once it warms up, it requires more and more power to get it to work. Although you may have sufficient power to turn on the lights radio etc... a starter requires much more power to engage. A new starter should solve your problem. Best of luck.

Airbag light blinks

This problem was covered by a national recall. I had mine fixed at no cost to me ($1,500.00 paid by VW). If you have paid to have it fixed VW will reimburse you.
