What color smoke white means coolant. Blue means oil. You could have loss of compression causing the drag the noise could be a air or coolant leak

When I put the gas petal to the floor first before cranking then cranks up smoke it coming out tail pipe and smelling gas

Hi there,

The starting technique you're referring to is not used on late model vehicles because of the fuel injection systems used. If you have a carburetor, when you press the accelerator pedal down, you're adding a lot (more than needed) of fuel mix to the engine. When it does fire up, what you're smelling is unburned fuel. Vehicle fuel is too rich at that point.

Valve guide seals

Are you saying you have smoke coming out of the tail pipe ? Or is something dripping onto the exhaust pipe and burning ?
If the smoke is coming out of the tail pipe, is it blue, white, or black ?

No power when I step on the gas and is smoking bad

Smoke from tail pipe or smoke from under hood?
A general rule of thumb if it is coming from tail pipe the color of smoke will tell you a lot.

White and thick means head gasket failure, Blue means oil is being burned.

I would recommend you check the seal of everything and make sure it is cleaned that had to do with vacuum or fuel distribution. EGR valve (gasket fails sometimes) IAC valve, MAP and MAF sensors, Fuel injectors, FPR (this will need replaced if leaking),

Also check you coolant and oil look for signs of either one mixing with one another, smell you coolant and make sure it don't smell like gas either, look around where the head meets the block and make sure you don't have any coolant leaking there. The smoke if from the tail pipe makes me think head gasket and these are simple checks. They are not 100% diagnosis but can lead you to the problem.

Also one obvious thing would be make sure no one put anything in your gas tank.

I would most likely look at the injectors first then the head gasket next.

Car has white smoke coming from tail pipe

sounds like a blown head gasket letting coolant get injected into the engine and getting burned with the fuel. a head gasket replacement should help

Gas comming out of the tail pipe check engine light does not come on.

Chances are it is water coming out this is normal to notice some water dripping out of exhaust periodically as the car runs, If the liquid actually smells like gas i am at a lose I have never heard of this occuring.

Clicking noise when i start my nissan maxima 2005

White smoke indicates water being burned. Also the ticking means your loosing oil. You most likely have a blown head gasket.
