1999 Explorer. Why did heater start working when I hit a bump?

Since it only changed when you hit a bump, I would suspect a mechanical issue. Most likely, when you hit the bump, the blend door moved and allowed air to blow over the heater core. I would check to make sure that the blend door is moving when you change the temperature knob from cool to hot.

Front heat goes out back heat stays on1994 gmc suburban

The blower motor is under the dash on the passenger side.
Could be a faulty blower resistor too.

Driver door closed but door alarm and lock keep going off?

Sounds like the door latch is not closing all the way, Try spraying some WD40 into the latch in the door where it hits the striker post. Hold the door handle up and bump the door shut and open while holding the handle up on the out side several times, This should loosen the latch up and the door should close and latch. The more you spray and work the door the better it should get. If not the latching mechanisim may need replaced. I hope I have help you sovle the alarm problem.

When u are driving and hit bumps inside lights flicker on and off and the information center says door is ajar . when you open and slam the door lights go out until u hit another bump

sounds like short in "closed door switch" in door frame. or perhaps loose or bad switch. look for a plunger or fip type switch. works like the "light off" switch in your refrigerator.

Radio turns on but no sound, turn signals do not work, blower motor does not blow - heat or air. I checked all the fuses in the cab and in the engine compartment - all are good.

As for the radio issue I have the same issue. I have learned to deal with it though and there are times when it comes on. Other times I will get out of the jeep and open and close the rear hatch with some pressure and it will start putting out sound. Last summer I rewired all the speakers and put all new speakers in and It worked fine for about 6 months and now its having the same problem. But closing the doors with a good amount of pressure or hitting a bump will usually turn it off or on

The dash light indicates I have a door opened and a chime dings when I hit a bump. All the doors are closed.

Check the 2 contacts on the passenger sliding door. If the door is out of adjustment they will have poor contact and a bump will jar it and turn on the light and chime. Make sure the side door closes securely.

Sliding Door Jammed

bump the back of the door (the part furthest from the handle) bump it inwards to close it "more" while pulling at the handle, do it a few times pulling and bumping- quite randomly and see if it opens, I expect it was slammed too hard and has knocked the latch out of alignment -which you can fix with the right spanner and a bit of trial and error.

Front speakers keep cutting out

If they cut out when they are turned up they are busted, get new ones. If they are cutting out when you hit a bump or something, then you have a loose wire somewhere between the player and the speaker, maybe check the doors and see if one might be crimped.
