Question about 1996 Volvo 960
front seats will not recline, is this an electrics problem or fuses?
How is this fixed.
if u hv the right tools, then it can be done. Unscrew the 4 nuts underneath and the seat is detached. but be careful with all the plastic covers and also the SRS equipment fitted by the side. The costs are subjective depending on the workshop place u send. The parts are still easily accessible. If DIY, then ensure the alignment between right and left is adjusted evenly on refitting.

It is more than likely the limit switch in the seat motor assembly

960 is equipped with front electrically control seats. There are relays but the culprit is always the steel gear under the seat which will wear off. There are 4 rubber tubes underneath.
