It sounds like the break stop switch is stuck. if you look at the break pedal the bar that extends up from the petal when you push the break in it hits a switch this switch also is what allows the shift lock to disenguage toexercise the switch if it does not fix it it need to be replaced they are not to bad in price but you need to go to thr dealer to get one

I just replaced the brake pads on my 2002 subaru my self and now my brake lights wont turn off unless i disconect the battery.

The brake lights switch is located on, or activated by the brake pedal.

Seems it needs to be adjusted or replaced.

Good Luck

Turn signal is staying on continuously and brake light goes off

check the bulbs or the sockets for damage
or the wrong bulb
you are getting feedback through the wiring
and that lights up the dash

I replaced all rear bulbs and i still have no lights when i hit the brakes

If they work when the turn signals or the hazards are on then you need to replace the brake light switch on the brake pedal bracket. If the lights don,t work on hazards but do with the turn signals, then you have a fuse blown. If none of the above work then you need to check the wiring under the truck box for a bad plug in connection, corrosion or broken wires.

I can't start the truck after the battery has been disconected because of security system.

Turn the key on, leave the key on for 11 minutes. The security light will stop blinking. Turn the key off. Repeat this procedure 2 more times. Do this with a battery charger on it so the battery won't go dead. After the 3rd 11 minutes period, the truck will start.
