Question about 1996 Chevrolet Blazer
Regarding my 1997 Blazer, 125,000 miles on it. My airbag light comes one while driving & dies on me. This has been going on for about a year and a half & is extremely irritating! The truck will just die, luckily I can restarted, but this is extremely scarey when it happens on the freeway. I have tried 3 places including a Chevy dealer and they 'claim' to have no idea. The chevy dealer wanted to replace the electrical wiring harness to the tune of $1200 with no guarantee that would solve the problem. So far, I have found one automotive place that will work with me on this. Bless this man! !
I would be suggesting crank sensor at this time if its never been changed. Also You may have a hair line crack in a fuse that feeds a vital component like fuel pump or computer.
Also the Ignition module could do this. If I were to just throw parts at this it would be those two parts being that its an intermittant problem
