Question about 1992 Mercedes-Benz Mercedes Benz 400 Class
1992 mercedes 400-se excessive build up of vaccum inside tank . it does not maintain the right press . you can observe how the tank collapse. fuel tank cap is hard to remove due to the excessive vaccum also after 2 minutes running you can hear a noise coming from the tank this is the sound when the tank begin to collapse and finally you can noticed a wrong lecture at the fuel gauge (4 example if you positive have 1/2 tank the reading move to full indication) What about canister purge, the thermo valve etc..?
thanks for any help
All gas tanks have a breather fitted to them
Some are in the form of a pipe on the top of the tank
Others are via a hole in the filler cap
Unless you have fitted a new cap then the second one is out of the window
Because of the nature of the beast you willed to get a strong light and look at the top of the fuel tank to see if the outlet has been blocked by rust or road dirt
