Hi. Please allow me to assist you. Assuming that you do NOT have a phillips screw in the middle of the door handle, here is what you do:

Take a long, flat tool (a butter knife works best); and insert the knife right above the door lock button, in the little horizontal gap, and pry out, and then below the button, and pry out again. What you are doing is removing the trim around the handle, and the trim is also the cup-like thing behind the pull lever. Once the trim is loose, remove it towards the front of the car, and the handle assembly will be visible. This is quite easy.

Actually the bottom tab is released by inserting the knife below the HANDLE, a little to the right of where you inserted it for the top one. (The holes that retain the trim line up with the pivot point of the handle and lock levers, if that helps) Also, be VERY gentle in your prying as these parts have been cooked by UVs for 14 years and are likely very brittle.

SOURCE: 2001 Toyota Camry - Removing driver interior door panel

you can take a screw driver and pry it off. Be careful if you have power windows, if it falls right off then it could pull the wires loose. The panels have clips that clip to the door. Therefore, the only way to get the panel off is to pry it off.

Why won't the inside Driver Door Handle work after being replaced

Make sure if it is equipped with a child safety lock on the inside of door jamb below or above the latch is unlocked. If that is ok then check to be sure the cable or rod to the interior handle is properly connected to the latch, remove door panel and if you can't see it directly you may have to use a mirror and flashlight to see if all is connected if so work the interior door handle while looking at all moving parts and tracking down where it is not doing it's function.

Changing interior door handle camry 1995

With a little dexterity, you can do this without removing the door panel. Pop the center tab on the handle with a small flathead. Underneath is the the screw holding the handle. Undo it. Shimmy and loosen the handle to separate it from the door panel. Detach it from the door mechanism transfer bars. Replace.

The driver's side outside door handle is loose, toyota celica '95

I assume that the entire handle unit is loose in the body work of the door.
The interior door trim will need to be removed to access the inside of the door to fix the loose handle.

Do not attempt his yourself unless you have some experience in this area.
Take the vehicle to the nearest reputable auto body repair shop and they can easily fix it for you. There could be a breakage on the retaining system on the handle or the retainers may just need tightening.

Typically door handles which have not been subject to damage or abuse will not usually loosen like this. It's possible the door was damaged and the panel repaired and repainted at some stage. If so the door handle may have been removed and refitted in a sloppy manner.

To remove the interior door panel of a 1996 Toyota camry so that

My 96 Camry LE has 9 attachments that are visible. Some have plastic caps covering the screws; others do not. There are screws at the door handle, at the forward portion(with covers) when the door is open and the back edge (small covers). As I recall, there are several friction type fasteners around the perimiter of the panel that can be removed by prying carefully away from the metal portion of the door to free up the trim panel. Once these are loose, the trim around the inside door release handle (the one you pull to open the door) can be pryed in a backward motion. Then the entire panel can be removed by pulling upward and backward at the same time (it easier to do this with the window down). Then it is a matter of disconnecting the wires attached to the various controls for the electric windows and door locks to free up the panel itself. There is probably a plastic skin covering the metal portion of the door. Carefully pull that away to expose the inner workings of the door latch mechanisim. The rest of the procedure should become easy to figure out. I have not removed the exterior door handle itself; but it is a simple mechanism as I recall. Best of luck to you.

95 Toyota Camry All outside handles broken off

I had the same issue with both the inside and outside door handles of my '95 Camry LE.

They are not too expensive. $15-20 each, sometimes you can find a set of four for $50. Try Amazon.com, that's where I just bought my new handles.

Replacement is time-consuming, but relatively easy to figure out. If you have the Haynes manual for your car, it will describe the steps required to disassemble the door paneling and replace the handles.
Have a Phillips AND Flathead screwdriver handy. You will need both to disassemble your door.

Good luck!
