Question about 2000 Volkswagen Beetle
2000 Beetle. When I turn on the a/c, sometimes the compressor kicks on, sometimes it doesn't. It will stay on for as long as 30 minutes, sometimes 5 minutes, sometimes it doesn't come on at all, sometimes it comes on after driving for 10 minutes...there is no pattern. I replaced what I thought was the a/c compressor relay, no dice. I can't find a diagram of the relay bank under the dash, I don't know what fuse to look for. It's 105 degrees on my 30 minute drive home from work, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello< will try and help you.Try replacing the low pressure switch, and the high side compressor cut out switch, look on the low side for the low pressure switch(large line/hose).It will have to wires gong to it.The high side cut out switch will be on the high side line/hose,or in the back of compressor. If this doesn`t help Have the system pressures checked. If I can help anymore...firstname.lastname@example.org
