Follow your air tube from throttle body at top of engine to black box and release metal clips to pull apart and air filter is inside box, on passenger side of engine on V6 and drivers side on V8. Hope this helps.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2004 mercury mountaineer

Hello, 2004 Mercury Mountaineer fuel filter is located in front and on top of fuel tank behind two shields. This is for 4.0L 2 wheel drive. When you look just behind the front passenger side tire you will see the first shield. Behind that is the second.

Thanks
