Hi .I beleive if i am correct,it should be 5w20 or 5w30.The brand is up to you,and stick with a oil that you know you will always be able to find easy.If you pick a synthtic oil blend, great, much better than conventional oils, but you need to stick with that brand. If I can be of more help, let me know,,,,

The switch need to be replaced. This is a common problem. Understand that he switch is the only breakpoint in that system. If the seat is getting hot without the switch being pressed, there is a short in the switch, thuis the necessary replacement.

What kind of motor will interchange with a 2.2 ecotec? (2004 chevy malibu)

Well the 2.2 engine was used in Cavaliers after 2002 and Cobalts.
Olds Alero from 2002 - 2004
Grand Am and Sunfires
And several Saturns.
Now which ones will bolt up is a different story.
A salvage yard should have an actual interchange list.
