Question about 2004 GMC Yukon
My 2004 GMC Yukon has a roof rack, but came without cross pieces. I purchased some that fit, but cannot get them on. It looks like they have to slide on from the front or back. Do I need to take the end caps of the side rails off to get the cross pieces on?
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Everything I'm reading indicates there are "rack fitment points" where you will have the room to insert the cross bars. I'd get a tall ladder and look carefully along the entire rail and maybe feel with your fingers for a point that is slightly different. That should be the place you can insert the slats.
