Ac/heater doesn't turn off on a 2004 Pontiac grand prix


Usually a break down in the Blower Motor "resistor" the resistor is bad, not the blower motor...you may need to unplug the blower motor until you find and install the resistor...your parts store can confirm the right part, and location. Hope this helps.

you should have a burnt connector (wire plug) at the blower motor resistor or a bad blower motor (or bad resistor) you should be able to discern which is bad by inspecting them closely.

My 2001 Pontiac grand Prix GT fan blower doesn't


sounds like the blow motor resistor it should be located somewere near the blower maybe. under passenger side dash.....it will be a wide plastic plug with about 4 or 5 wires..

My blower motor only works on 3,4+5 and there is an odor of melted plastic. could this be the resistor pack? and is it an easy fix?


it may be the fan resistor is located near the blower motor on the passenger side under dash. heres a picture to aid you. hope this is very helpful onetufshoppe_87.gif

Sounds like you have a bad blower motor resistor. It is located under the passenger side of the dash near the blower motor.

Sounds like a bad blower motor resistor.... is located under the passanger side dash in the blower box near the blower motor itself.... fairly easy job and very common problem. Good luck
