There is a special rear brake caliper tool that you can "borrow" from your local Auto Zone. You put a deposit down and they give you the whole amount back when you take it back. Basically the tool spins the piston and it pushes it back in. You can do it without it, but man, it takes more time to do it like that than to drive down to Auto Zone to get the tool. Here is a link to what you will get from Auto Zone: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/catalog/accessories/accessoriesShelf.jsp?categoryDisplayName=Tools&fromType=accessories&fromString=search&parentId=cat30101&filterByKeyWord=rear+brake+caliper+piston+tool&currentPage=1&navValue=101242&categoryNValue=100006&fromWhere=&subPartId=prod62420&itemId=prod62420&displayName=Disc+Brake+Caliper+Tool

You will need a 7mm allen wrench or socket the socket is easier with a ratchet to undo the 2 bolts that hold the caliper on.After you take the bolts out take a screw driver and pry up on the caliper to release it off the rotor. your calipers are on top of the rotors. To compress the caliper pistons in take a pair of channel locks that open up alot then with the back brake pad still on squeeze the piston and pad in. That should do it :)

How do I reset the parking brake after replacing the rear brake pads on a 2008 Dodge Caravan?

Parking brake should be unaffected if you only changed the rear disc pads. The parking brake self adjusts every time you back up and apply the brakes if it is functioning properly.

How do I install rear brakes and rotors on a 2004 Dodge Grand Caravan

For Disc Brakes...simply use a 7mm allen wrench to remove the 2 bolts from the inside of the caliper and use a large C-clamp to put pressure on the hydrolic piston. The two pads slide right off for replacement. Reverse directions to install new ones.

2002 dodge caravan rear disc noise

Sure sounds like you need new brake pads. On the brake pad is a small metal tab that contacts the rotor and squeals when the pads need to be changed. Hope this helps. Please keep me posted. Good luck
