SOURCE: 2005 trailblazer fan motor vibrates whole dash
It is very likely that there is something in the squirrel cage fan blower wheel. It is fairly easy to pull it out and check.
SOURCE: How do i remove the fan wheels from my 92 accord heater motor?
Difficult to describe without pics, but…:
Once you’ve removed the glove box (I assume you’ve done this, and maybe you already have the motor out, in which case you can ignore most of this down to the underlining)
If the vehicle is equipped with air conditioning, remove the strap bolt (between the two nuts for the evaporator on the left and the two nuts for the blower housing (the housing is probably white) on the right, just a bit lower than those) then the blower under-cover and the three blower housing retaining nuts (two nuts at the top, already mentioned, and the nut at the bottom, which is roughly between the evaporator on the left and the blower housing cover on the right).
Pull the housing out far enough to unplug the electrical connectors (at the lower right edge, right above the kick panel) and remove the blower assembly housing.
If you’re replacing the blower motor itself, or either of the blower fan wheels, separate the two halves of the housing, remove the motor, remove the retaining clip(s) and remove the fan wheel(s). Easier said than done in may cases. The wheels, from heat and cold over many years, become very set on the blower rod. You'll have to work them off using whatever break-free lube you can find to do it, and a good deal of slight twisting, etc.
Installation is reverse. Then check for proper operation, before you put them back.
Hope this is at least helpful.
SOURCE: blower motor vibrates really bad,
IT SOUNDS LIKE SOME THING HAS FALLEN DOWN YOUR DEFROST VENT ON THE DASH AND IS IN THE FAN. WOW THESE THINGS ARE A PAIN TO GET TO. THE BLOWER IS UNDER THE DASH BEHIND THE GLOVE BOX SOME OF THE SCREWS ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO GET TO. THERE IS NO EASY WAY TO GET THERE TO REMOVE WHAT IS STUCK IN THE FAN
