Happens mostly in reverse at very low speed. change spark plugs to an ngk, increese gap by 0.01 and advance distributer about 1 or 2 digrees to increase idle from around 800 to 850 or 900.

1989 gmc s15 starts then dies

Your best bet ,take it to a qualified repair shop that has the diagnostic equipment to diagnose the problem . You already replaced a part that didn't need to be . This problem could be caused by any number of thing's . I would only be guessing without testing , are you prepared to replace every part suggest on here . Do you have a OBD 1 scan tool to view engine sensor data ? Do you know what that is ? Could be fuel related , crankshaft postion sensor , coolant temp.sensor , ignition module . Leaking fuel pressure regulator ,injectors leaking .

I am having a voltage issue with my 2003 gmc 1500hd 6.0L. I replaced the battery last week and had the alternator checked this past weekend and it checked out fine. Problem: At idle speed the voltage drops...

No. It is a bad alternator. When they test the alternator they turn it at faster rpm. When it turns at faster rpm it is charging fine. What the problem is the voltage regulator in the alternator is going bad. When you turn your blinker on I bet the voltage shows on the gauge. Moves up and down with the blinker.

1989 mercury tracer will not idle and does not stay running without pumping the gas and when you push the clutch in the rpms drop immediatly and will die if dont pump the gas and if it drops below 2000 rpm...

Is the check engine light on? I would take it to an auto parts store and have any codes read. It sounds like a possible problem with the throttle position sensor. It is located under hood, center, upper engine area, rear of valve cover, mounted on driver side of throttle valve assembly. Good luck and hope this helps.
