Drivers window stuck down in 2000 ford tarus se how can i fix ?

check the window switch in both directions. it could be a bad switch. if the switch tests good then you will have to pull the inner door panel off guessing this is a 4 door. then check for power at the power window motor connection. if you tap the window motor with a wrench of something while activating the window switch it may start to work. if it does the motor is worn, you can replace the motor or take a chance that it may not act up for a long time. if it doesn`t work trying this and you have power/ground at the motor then replace the motor.

Power window doesn't work

The window motors don't have brushes to replace,
you should see & feel that,as your inside the door

You remove the regulator assy & motor together,
then the motor

You will have bolts to remove & possibly rivets to
drill out

99 mercury cougar replaced power window motor and switch window still does not work

That doesn't seem possible does it ?

You remove the inner door panel

You think the motor may be bad,so you unplug it,
knowing it is a DC Motor & can be hooked up either
way & will run in either direction
You put 12 volts to it. Doesn't work ,sounds bad,you
install a new one

Now you need power from the switch to run the new motor,
so you work on that
The switch can be disconnected & tested with an OHM Meter
& if worn,you replace that
You checked the fuse before you started & knew that wasn't an issue,
because all the other windows worked

So what did you mis ,short of having no wiring diagram, to make
things a lot easier?

My driver side window wasn't working so i replaced the switch but the driver side window still wont go down. Any info on how to repair my problem, thinking its the motor but can't find any videos...

remove your door panel, disconnect the motor plug, grab your car battery with 2 cables one in each terminal and connect them on the motor plug, one cable in each pin, be careful that the cables don´t touch each other. The polarity doesn't matter, cause if you change them they are going up or they will go down ok. If the window it's up and it doesn't move change the polarity and it should go down. If it works then it could be the switch or something electrical from the plug to the switch. If it does nothing then it´s probably that the window motor doesn't work anymore and you should cange the whole mecanism.

It may be a bad Power Window Switch, if the Power Window Motor goes up and down when you ran power leads to it but doesn't work with the switch, than the switch is bad. Replace the power window switch and it should work fine.

Power window drivers side doesn"t work

You will need to replace the window motor, it kinda like a starter motor when starting to go out will not have enough power, same with the window motor, brushes are worn. Also could blow a fuse, asking for to much voltage to work.
