Question about 2001 Chrysler 300M
Temp guage in red' dummie light on. engine not hot 195 to 215 max it takes about 11 miles for this to happen.also when hot light coms on auto slapstick shift wont work.it will be in slapstick mode but shift automaticly.when all this happens and turn car off for 2 minutes, and restart, temp goes back to nomal and takes 11 miles or so to re acure i put 2 thermostats, radiator sensors before i realized the motor was not even getting hot.one more thing ,if you use the manual sapstick with temp gauge in red reving engine driving like a race car, temp drops to normal chrysler 300m 2001
Sounds like a faulty sensor, if the actual temp is 195/215. The ICM is processing the information it receives from the sensor and performs accordingly. A complete diagnostic scan would be helpful in determining the proper repairs needed to correct the problem.
Good luck...i hope this helps, please rate me a fixya.
