I have a 2009 Honda Accord EX3.5l v6 my TPMS light won't go off. How do I reset my TPMS light?

you might need to take it to a tire shop and see if you have a bad sensor. The sensors are operated by a battery and do go dead over time.

Tire pressure light is staying on in instrument panel. checked tire pressures. all correct

There are two typical types of tire pressure monitoring systems, direct and indirect. Direct TPMS uses individual battery powered sensors on each wheel to report tire pressure to the computer and if this is the case one of your sensors may have failed. Indirect TPMS uses a combination of values measured externally to each wheel (rotation velocity, temperature, etc.) then the computer calculates nominal values and indicates when a wheel is performing outside those nominal values thus indicating a potential low tire pressure situation. Any false indications with an indirect TPMS may be due to a fault within the ECU (computer) or other feedback sensor.

HOW DO YOU RESET THE TPMS ON 06 NISSAN PATHFINDER

If the wheel tpms sensors work, when you turn on the
ignition switch, the dash light should go off in one second

When you drive 16mph the system is activated & if
tire pressure in the 4 driven wheels are okey, the light
stays off

Other wise you have tire & sensor work to do

My Cadillac devil 2004 is prompting me saying"tire monitoring sensor" isn't wiring or need to be replaced. I'm a do it yourself kind of guy is this something I can fix myself ? And what's my best plan

The TPMS monitors tire pressure and sends a signal to the Cadillac's computer when there is low tire pressure. When the tire pressure is restored, the Cadillac's TPMS should reset itself. However, if it does not, the TPMS light on the dash will stay lit. When this happens, you need to know how to manually reset the TPMS light and sensors.

Instructions

1 Press and hold the tip odometer button on the gauge cluster.

2 Wait until the display screen brings up the settings menu.

3 Release the "reset" button and press it again to scroll through various settings.

4 Keep pressing the "reset" button until you come to the TPMS setting.

5 Press and hold the "reset" button until the TPMS light on the dash resets.

Tpms light stays on, why

Hi , I work in the tire industry and see this prob occur from time to time .If After trying the solutions posted above your problem persist you may need to reprogram your tpms system completely . You don't necessaraly have to go to the dealership for l this . I recommended you take it to a pro tire shop as Dealers themselves usually outsource these type of problems to local tire shops anyway. Have the tire shop also check each sensor individually to make sure they are still sending signal because Sensors are battery powered and eventually have to be replaced on most vehicles .

Why TPMS light stays on in my CRV

After checking and adjusting the tire pressures, The vehicle must be driven at speeds above 28 Mph (45 km/h) for approximately 20 minutes for the TPMS to receive the updated information from the tire pressure sensors in the tires. It will then reset itself.

If you have driven the vehicle, and the indicator will still not go off, then you need to take your car in for service so the malfunction in the TPMS system can be properly diagnosed.

TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT STAYING ON

You either have low tire pressure in a tire
A bad tire pressure sensor in a wheel
Or just need to reset the TPMS,if you rotated your tires.

Go to a shop with a TPMS tool or scanner with TPMS software, and have it reset.

I replaced my 08 accord wheels with an 09 accord wheels

thank your gorvernment. they required auto makers to implement some sort of tire pressure monitoring system in all vehicles. More than likely what needs to be done is a re-initialization of the sensors. it will most likely need to be performed by a dealer.
