Question about 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix
Usually if there is a security problem on the car , it has to do with the ignition cylinder being that is where the passlock is located . the module has to see a certain resistance when the key is turned to varify that the key is being used rather then someone breaking the cylinder apart when being stolen. Try when the security light is flashing , to leave the key in the on position for 10 minutes to see if the security light stops flashing ,make sure you battery is good , if this works , when the light stops flashing , the vehicle should start. if it does then replace the ignition cylinder and reprogram the module.
