Should be under the hood in the fuse/relay box on the driver's side, just behind the battery. The lid of the box has the diagram of the fuses/relays.

    The battery is located in the trunk of the car first of all. Second of all the relay for the fan is not in the fusebox under the hood, it's outside of it to the top right attached to the arc of the wheel well. there should be a black box (relay) running wires to a lone fuse, then running to the fan.

SOURCE: LOCATION FAN RELAY

The relay is under the right front headlamp assembly and bracket. You can access it two ways. Remove the front bumper facia, headlights, and bracket assembly. The grill is part of the facia and the headlight bracket runs all the way across the front. Or you can remove the right headlamp and use a hole saw to cut through the bracket, it is a plastic material.

SOURCE: My 2000 lincoln ls cooling fan will not turn on.

Radiator cooling fan is not electric, it is driven by a silly hydraulic pump which is located low on the passenger side of the engine above the alternator. All 2000-2002 LS's have this system. Most likely either the motor or pump has failed.

SOURCE: Where is location of cooling fan relay?

Under the hood on the drivers side, just forward of the shock tower, you will see what is called an "under hood fuse center". On the cover you can see the various fuses and relays that are located in the fuse center.
One of those relays is the coolant fan relay. Remove the top cover of the fuse center to gain access to the relay.

The engine cooling fan system consists of 2 electrical cooling fans and 3 fan relays. The relays are arranged in a series/parallel configuration that allows the powertrain control module (PCM) or engine control module (ECM) to operate both fans together at low or high speeds. The cooling fans and fan relays receive battery positive voltage from the underhood junction block. The ground path is provided at G100.
During low speed operation, the PCM/ECM supplies the ground path for the low speed fan relay through the low speed cooling fan relay control circuit. In the under hood fuse / relay box ! There are three of them COOLFAN/relay 1-2-3 . It's marked on the under side of fuse box lid .

The BCM performs the calculations as to how long, when and what speed the cooling fans should turn on. The BCM then sends a class 2 message to the PCM/ECM to engage the cooling fan relays. If there is a malfunction with the BCM, the PCM/ECM will control the engine cooling fans independently. The engine cooling system consists of 2 electrical cooling fans and 3 fan relays. The relays are arranged in a series/parallel configuration that allows the PCM/ECM to operate both fans together at low or high speeds. The three relays are located in the under hood fuse / relay box ! You need to have it checked for DTC'S -diagnostic trouble codes ! An you need a GM Tech 2 scan tool !

The location of a 2002 chevy cavalier cooling fan sensor


The cooling fan is controlled by the PCM - powertrain control module through a relay ! There is no cooling fan sensor , there is a coolant temperature sensor ! This coolant temperature sensor is an input to the engine computer , if there were a problem wit the sensor the check engine light would be on .
Cooling Fan Control
The engine cooling fan system consists of one cooling fan and one relay. The relay is powered by the battery positive voltage circuit and controlled by a switched ground from the powertrain control module (PCM).
During operation, the PCM supplies the ground path for the cooling fan relay through the cooling fan relay control circuit. This energizes the cooling fan relay coil, closes the relay contacts, and supplies battery positive voltage from the cooling fan fuse through the cooling fan motor supply voltage circuit to the cooling fan. The cooling fan motor is grounded through its own ground circuit.
The PCM commands the fan on under the following conditions:
?€¢
Engine coolant temperature exceeds approximately 106?°C (223?°F).

A/C refrigerant pressure exceeds 1310 kPa (190 psi).

What is a R16 and R15 relay/fuse in a 2001 ford focus?


R15 and R16 refers to relay POSITIONS. These relay positions in your 2001 Ford Focus are located in the battery junction block. (see lower right of diagram below)

In this case, relay position R15 is used for the Engine Cooling Fan Relay (Level 2, A/C) and fuse position R16 is used for the Engine Cooling Fan Relay (Level 1).

Which relay is for the fans on 2001 ford Taurus


There are 2 relays for the cooling fans. They are located in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment (see picture below of location). there is a low speed fan relay located in the number 24 position and a high speed fan relay located in the number 32 position (see layout picture below). If your fans are not working at all you may also want to look at the "maxi" fuse in the number 9 position as that gives power to those relays. i hope this helps and good luck.
