Question about Saturn SL2
I have a 2001 Saturn SL2, my car blows out Blue smoke BUT only when left ideling. When I drive regularly, or on the express way there is no smoke. Yet when I idle for over two minutes as soon as I step on the gas a huge cloud of blue smoke comes out. I have cleaned out the throttle body, the ERG valve, changed the oil and the plugs, replaced the coils. The car has 142,000 miles on it and still runs great.PLEASE ANY ADVICE
It likely has worn out or hardened valve seals in the head(s). Oil is leaking into the cylinders through these seals. I'd try a seal softening agent in the oil before doing a valve job. Check your local auto supply for such stuff. A good mechanic can replace the seals without tearing off the heads.
