Question about 1997 Volkswagen Jetta
When I put the key in the ignition and try and start my car the alarm goes off and the car won't start. Sometimes when I put the key in the doors the alarm goes off. No matter what, the car won't start. I heard that I need to restart the alarm system by putting the key in the trunk, holding it in the lock position for 10 seconds, lock all the doors and then unlock them from the drivers door. But it won't let me lock the doors from the trunk. It seems like my car is trying to protect itself from letting me steal it with its own key!
YOU MIGHT NEED TO BY PASS THE SYSTEM IF YOU DONT WANT TO MESS WITH IT OR TRY TO ALL THE SENSORS ON THE DOORS MAYTHEYRE NOT WORKING SOMETIMES THE RUBBER SEALS BRAKE AND THEN WATER MAY GET INTO THEM
