Transmition stuck in drive

Drove home from work no problem, pushed down button and moved stick forward (noticed lack of resistance), and found I was stuck in drive. The stick would move backward/forward but not change gear. Turned off motor, now it won't start because it in drive. Please help.

I'm not sure if it is broken, I can put the cup back on the pin a short distance and change gear 3 or 4 times before it falls off again. How is it supposed to held on? Thankyou for the advice.

Sounds like shifter cable busted... pop the hood and look at drivers side, have another person move the shifter so you can locate the cable... then find the arm coming off the transmission move it all the way one direction it will be either park or low range and that should get you moving again...

If it is an automatic, and absoloutely no movement it sounds like the torque convertor has failed. Either impellor or turbine. If it is a manual the clutch may have gone. If it is a manual, place it in gear and get a friend to rock the car back and forward. See if you notice any movement of the harmonic balancer/belts in the engine bay?

Check for any kind of obstructions in the track. If there is nothing there, you can try to have someone push the bottom of the back of the seat while you push the forward button, and vice versa. Sometimes the rails get stuck from debris or something wedged in the track. The only other thing I can think of is to take the seat out, remove the drive shaft and try to knock the track free with a hammer.

Engine suddenly revs when stopped & @ idling

sounds like one of the metal arms connected to the engine may be getting stuck some how. have someone get in car and press on gas when car is off while you watch engine to see what is moving, then check those arms to see if there is any possible obstructions or knicks or something on them

Tape stuck in player - error code e13 shows

I just got a tape unstuck myself. Everytime I would hit eject it would make a clicking noise.

Here is what I did:
First I watched these videos to remove the radio.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29MTa4FLjtk&feature=channel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqvk_PNo9Kg&feature=channel

Then I unscrewed the bottom panel of the radio.
Unscrew the brass screws holding in the cassette player portion of the radio.
Now flip the cassette player over to see your tape, etc.
When I pressed the eject button, I noticed a little motor with a worm gear would move a a gear which moved several other gears until it eventually moved a black gear which has a little post that moves the metal arm which moves back when pushing in a tape and moves forward when ejecting a tape. But I would get a clicking sound which seemed to be due to one gear trying to move a stuck gear.
I forgot the exact details of how I managed to get the tape out, but when I did get it out I noticed when I turned on the radio, it would act like it was trying to play a tape. But when it found out it couldn't, it would try to eject but would fail once again with the gear clicking sound.
I think I tried moving the black post on the black gear that moves the arm that pushes the tape out. Eventually I got to the point where the arm was pushed forward like it should be when a tape is ejected. At that point I was able to insert and eject a tape without any problems.
