What is year--make--model?
Are there any applicable trouble codes?
Make sure battery has a full charge and battery connections all good.
If the vehicle cranks good but won't start, the basics checks, have a helper crank it while you visually check for spark at the spark plugs. If spark everywhere, use a gage and check proper fuel pressure. Also, check for fuel injector pulse.
I give guys/gals the same info, don't know any other way.

I have a scag tiger cat stc52c-22fx and spark plugs with no spark

no engine of 3 told, KWAWaSKi , briggs or Kohler
22FX means .Kawasaki FX691V , bingo
this a lawnmower/ sure and is no car. or truck
sure
and like all lawnmowers that are huge.
they have 5 more more interlocks to keep engine dead.
here I will try to list some.
1; in gear, lockout.
2: blades activated lockout.
3: seat switch open no person seated. (lockout)
4: low oil pressure cranked, lockout.
5: cooling open lockout.
6: clutch engaged lockout.
7: brakes not locked. (to start)
or as you lost service manual shows. schematics will tell that that . for sure.
fuses blown?
connectors loose or fell off
keyswitch bad

spark magneto dead.
the answer is here,

the engine uses magneto to make spark and is defeated by engine connector black wire. jump to ground.
black wires on engine are coil wires spark and most not be grounded out, via safety switches.
the 12vdc does not produce spark at all. only he mag. does.
the carb has cut fuel wire green/white

01 taurus 303 code

sounds more like a valve problem. Weak valve spring or worn valve guide. Something mechanical that changes when the engine heats up.

We have2005 coopers and the engine is back firing andthen no power. We changed the coil pack-injectors- plugs-wires and nothing on the diagnostics. Please help if some one has had this problem before

  1. check the emissions. Running lean, injectors or plugs not firing at the exactly right times will do the same thing. That will show up in an emissions test (smog). Then u have a starting point.

How can I fix the engine from running rich? It runs so rich. It doesn't pass CA Smog? How can I isolate the problem? Also the car has been sitting in driveway for a couple years. But I started it for first...

this is what i did when my 89 chevy beretta failed and the guy handed me a pamphlet on turning in your junker car for a $1000...and he was kind of laughing like you failed and i got you money anyway because he thinks he knows that there's no way my car will pass again.
here's what i did.
#1 changed out all plugs and wires
#2 changed my oxygen sensor
#3 inspected all my vacuum hoses found a crack going to the MAP sensor
i just cut off that end and shoved it back on. and changed out the PCV valve and also found a crack in that hose but couldnt replace it, so i just rapped it real tight with black electrical tape.
#4 cleaned up throttle body real good and the IAC sensor with throttle body cleaner
#5 replaced the oil and filter
#6 serviced the transmission fluid
#7 replaced my catalytic convertor
#8 ran my car around and got it real hot before taking it in
retested and you should have seen the look on his face and i said thanks to him my car was only getting 19 to 20 miles to the gallon my dash computer says im getting 28 now. it was really low smog readings and he couldnt believe it.
so if you do all these things it cost $150 for a cheap cat
i think $40 for oxygen sensor
$30 for oil and filter
$60 for trans service
$40 plugs and wires
$7 throttle body cleaner
$8 PCV
total $335 it should pass
on my other car it failed smog so i went this time and just changed the cat and it passed..not quite as good as my beretta but a pass is a pass. try this and you'll probably at least pass! who knows you might even increse your mpg. Can you rate this, thanks!

Hello,

Put on a "spark box" into your ignition. I have a Mallory HI-Fire 6A (?) and the car starts and runs good. You will also get better gas mileage and pass smog test.
