SPECULATION only... because Peugeots were not
commercially imported to the USA in 2008... BUT
TYPICALLY you must empty & drop the
"GAS TANK" to access the sender unit
(fuel - pump)...
It is a big enough job where it is certainly reasonable
to lift your rear mats to LOOK & see if access is available
(through the car floor) with the FUEL TANK in place...
If alignment resetting isn't working it appears you bought a LEMON! That is to say that the the "fobber offers" knew that the chassis alignment was off at the getgo. It must have been in an accident and was never realigned at a frame straightening shop....if you have lemon laws where you are you might consult a lawyer about what to do next!
