first you need to check the rear brakes ,the emergency brakes work off the rear brakes, there is an adjustment on the center of cable that goes between both rear brakes, hope this is some help, thanks robert b.

If the pedal is loose (gets to the floor), you can tighten the cable itself under the truck. There is an adjustment bolt where the main cable splits into 2 (where it splits to get to either side). You will find that bolt along the driver side, behind the driver. If the brake don't grab, there is an adjustment wheel on one side of the park brake shoe brake cylinder. They have a tendancy to rust and seize up but are easily removed, clean and put back together. Good luck.

The gas cap must click three times. This is not a sensor problem, more than likely. More than likely something is stuck in the vent line to the charcoal filter. The charcoal filter could be plugged up. This filter is located next to the fuel fill hose. The hose that runs from the fuel fill to the tank. The charcoal filter is a little black box with hoses going in the top. Sometimes you can hit the box and the debris will pass.
