HI, The original cold cranking amps preferred by the manufacture is 690. I would go higher than the stock specs. I recommend going with a Duralast Car battery. The Duralast 1000 amps/ 800 cold amps brand to be exact. This is a powerful battery that has one of the most strongest cold start abilities in the market(800 cold-start amps at 0 degrees and, 1000 total amps in a whole). This is a Dual terminal style battery that will last for a long time. The reserve capacity is 115 and, it also has jump-start protection as well. The part number is 34DT-DLG and, the BCI Group is 3478DT. You can order this battery on-line at or, you can simply purchase it at you local nearby Auto Zone as well.

If the car won't turn over and the starter is changed to a known good one, then the battery or battery connection could be the cause.

Is there more than one type of replacement battery for this car? i purchased one at autozone by asking for a replacement battery for a 95 buick lesabre. just want to make sure there is not more than one...

there really is only one physical size that will fit the space. but there are different levels of power that have to match your car. ideally replace the battery with one the manufacturer recommends or higher. what you looking for is (cca) cold cranking amps

The LeSabre had the same body style up until 1999 in the rounded style. So it should fit just fine.

Need a replacement battery for a 2003 Buick LeSabre custom

Most auto parts stores will change the battery for you if you purchase a battery from them. Walmart, NTB, Firestone, Sears, Pep Boys, etc..., offer this service also.
*(not endorsing any one in particular, reference only)*.
I would suggest a quality replacement with the recommended specifications for your vehicle. I.E, size, CCA, post orientation.
Pretty straight forward, cost and your individual preference are your limits. Figure between $50- $90 as a reference point. Mine was about $72 for a 1999 Buick Century, which is similar to yours.
