REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the window regulator handle with a pry tool or by removing the clip that retains it. This clip is tight and may be difficult to remove. To ease removal, make a tool out of an old wire hanger, take a length of the hanger and put a small hook shaped bend on the end. Use the tool to pull the clip off.
  2. Remove the door handle trim plate.
  3. On models equipped, remove the seat belt lap guide from the door panel.
  4. Remove the screw from the arm rest pocket and carefully pry the pocket out. Remove the stereo speaker cover from the panel by prying out the beauty caps and unscrewing the phillips screws.
  5. Pull the panel away from the door. The panel is retained by plastic clips, to ease removal use a trim removal tool (available at most auto parts stores). Try not to bend the panel to much when removing it or it will be damaged. On models equipped with power windows, disconnect the wiring from the switch before removing the panel completely.
  6. Install the panel in position and reinstall all of the components removed. When positioning the panel, it will have to be pushed into place until the retaining clips catch.

1991 oldsmobile cutlass supreme drivers side window keeps coming out of track, how do I fix

Hi,
generally the door panel has to come off. With the panel removed you can see the tracks. There is an adjustment for each track, and you can observe the action of the window in the track as you operate the window. slacken both track adjustment bolts if fitted, operate the window untill fully up, tighten each adj bolt and operate the window through the cycle. Make any further adjustments as needed. When correct install the door panel, and recheck the operation of the window.

Good luck.

The nearside front window is stuck down and will not wind back up

Not sure if its power windows or manual windows, you said wind so its gotta be manual, remove the door panel and make sure nothing fell apart and jammed the track, if nothing is found then the track may be broken,

The driver's window on my 93 honda civic 1.5 Lsi is not closing properly. The motor works fine but the window slants and does not go into the rubber. The rubber is slightly buckled at the front panel is...

What you need to do first is remove your inner door panel. After you have the panel removed operate the window and make sure that none of the window tracks are loose, broken, or out of adjustment. This is your most likely cause of your problem. A slight buckle in the panel may help the problem but, I don't think it is your main problem. Check the tracks and adjustments.

If it is a power window you will need to get a new motor for it.If its' a manual window crank it's just off the track you just gotta pull the door panel off to put it back on track you might have to go to a junk yard to get the parts to put it back on track.

I just had the same problem and took the panel off by taking all the screws out. Some are hidden behind black covers including one behind the door handle. My problem is now getting the door panel back on to the door. Haven't figured out how it goes back on.
