Hi KReive , I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? Try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds, then hook it back up. this should reset the computer. If that doesn't work, you need to call the parts dept.

what additional info do you need?. Basically it worked and 10 minutes later it doesn't. Usually when you push the fob the tail lights flash and you hear the truck latch release. Now there is nothing

I don't know your year--make--model?
With some vehicles, you can access the trunk by removing the rear seat back. I don't know about yours?
Inside the trunk, some vehicles have a release handle, you pull the handle to open the trunk lid. I'm not sure why they put that handle in there? I guess if somebody kidnapped you and put you in the trunk, you could pull the release handle, pop the trunk, jump out and run?
The release handle was just a thought, where applicable.

Try pressing the fob trunk button while pushing down on the trunk lid as sometimes the latch mechanism gets dry and sticks. If you do get it opened spray some silicone spray onto the latch and wipe off excess with a towel. It is possible that something got caught or wedged into the latching unit. As Malissa said try unhooking and reconnecting the battery to see if the BCM resets and lets the key fob work.

Car will not lock on key fob but will unlock.but the key in the door and it locks and opens but interior light stays on says ondash board door open but theyare not

It looks like that your 'closed door' sensor is out of order or the door itself doesn't reach it far enough. put something sticky on the tip of sensor and try again.

How do i prevent accidental trunk opening on 2009 camry

To prevent accidental opening of the trunk caused by an accidental pressing of the "OPEN TRUNK" button on your keyfob, you can pull the cover that hides the wiring harness on the trunk (you can buy replacement plastic retaining tabs at an auto parts store if you break one) and look for the wiring harness. I cut the wire controlling the electronic trunk solenoid and soldered in momentary pushbutton that goes to the outside of the trunk. To open the trunk, I have to depress the pushbutton on the trunk and then press the "OPEN TRUNK" button on my keyfob. I also soldered in a bypass switch in parallel with the pushbutton in case I want to disable the extra security I get by having a pushbutton. It will cost you about $15 in parts (get a high quality, weather rated pushbutton) and about 3 hours of time.

The key fob sometimes does not lock or unlock car doors. i have had a new battery fitted.but still not working properly.

Hello,
Most of the keyfobs have instrctions on the back, or on the inside cover on how to change the battery in the keyfob and then reactivate.
If you can't find the instructions, you can try the following.

From outside of the vehicle, with all of the doors closed, push the unlock button, then the lock button, then the unlock button, then the lock button.
If that doesn't work;
Those keys/key pads, are highly sensitive to interfearence from other remotes, such as other keys with chips, garage door openers, etc., try to make sure that no other electronic products are near your keyfob.

I hope this helps you.

Tried to get into my 2008 Nissan Altima with the key and it won't unlock the door or the trunk. Called AAA and they could unlock the door manually but they couldn't open the doors. Tried opening the door...

well are you taling using a keyfob or actually inserting the key if a keyfob no battery power will cause the doors not to unlock

the actual key in the slot should work and is your back up

mostlikely you need a new battery either in your keyfob or the car

My trunk won't open

should be a button or lever or pull tab somewhere along the top of your back seats that allow them to fold down..... and your trunk should have an emergency release lever inside the trunk

Will not open trunk with keyfob or trunk release

Has it opened before? If so can you open it with the key? In the trunk is a electric solinoir at the latch, check the electrical plug for a good connection. Then try it again.

Trun will not open on my 2004 infiniti g35 coupe

The wires that go from the body to the trunk lid are broken, the wires are located inside the rubber boot that connects between trunk and the car. very common problem.
