Question about 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Sometimes my jeep will not start. Usually if I use starting fluid it will eventually start. And when it does start, it runs fine. No smoking or sputtering.Until the next time it decides not to start. There is no rhyme or reason as to when the problem occurs except I have noticed it happens more on hot days, or (dont laugh) whenever I put gas in it. I have to leave the motor running while Im refueling. ANy ideas?.
Chasnge the fuel filter and have the fuel pressure tested. likely it's a pump beginning to fail or an obstruction (like plugged filter) in the system. (hope it's the filter...far cheaper)
Good luck! PS: filter is on the frame rail near the l/r tire.
