Try the other fitting. it is not the lower fitting, but the low pressure line of your a/c that your looking for.

2007 Mitsubishi eclipse spider 2.4 blowing warm air not cold What is the paid supposed to be I know it takes 19 oz. Of freon I'm I suppose. To discharge before recharge?

Its best to evacuate the a/c but if you are careful you may be able to hook up your freon tank and lightly charge the system if it works cold just let it be and if when it is real hot it feels warm instead of cold you might add just a little more freon but be careful.

1996 Chevrolet Beretta. Where do I add freon?

attach the recharge kit to the valve under the blue cap on the lower front of the vehicle, between the engine and radiator. The hose end from the kit, will only fit the proper size fitting on A/c system. The right fitting is there! Good-Day!

Where do you attach recharging bottle for ac unit.

With the engine running and the a/c on find the smaller service port located on the larger of the two a/c lines. This is the low side service port and the only fitting a recharge can will fit on. Attatch the can and open the valve on the can to allow the freon to be sucked into the a/c system.

How to put in freon

First buy one of the Auto Pro Refrigerant units with coolant and guage together at an Auto Parts store. you must locate the" input valve on the cooling line..should have a nipple on it,that screws off . There are 2 but product and guage only fits one. Unscrew can from guage and remove safety tab.....RE_screw can back on too gage making sure it is tight enough to puncture can. 4 clocklike hands on guage,,set the smallest arrow to approximate outside air temp. Push end of refrigerant hookup connector onto imput "nipple".. start car,,turn A/C on max cool............pull trigger on refrigerent unit,,,,shake and roll can slightly...when you release trigger, the gauge will indicate how much you have charged it...if completly empty,it will take about one half can, before compressor cluch begins to turn...squeeze release....squeeze,,release until pressure had indicate charged.

I cannot charge the A/C. It will not accept the freon. 2007 ram 3500 6.7 litre diesel, I bought a tall can of freon with stop leak and it has the hose attached. It hooks up correctly to the receiving port...

you need to 'bridge' the terminals on the schrader valve (low pressure cutoff) to force the compressor to run. It should be located on the receiver/dryer, carefully strip a small section of insulation on the two wires just above the connectors, and bridge them with a piece of wire-when compressor runs, the freon will be drawn from the can into the suction port.

We bought a hose and freon and the hose doesn't seem to fit right. Can freon be refilled at home?

Make sure you have 134a coolant and gauge with lines to fit 134a NOT r12 or r22!!! And then there are 2 lines upper and lower, if you have the right hose you might be trying the wrong port.

The copresser cycles no and off and the gauge on the freon bottle was going high to low like there might freon in it

Just because the guages are moving doesnt mean it is really taking the freon. Does the can get cold when the guage drops. Is it getting lighter?

I want to put some freon into the AC but cannot locate the "low" valve. The RedTek guage will not fit onto the "high" valve.

follow the lines coming out of and into the compressor. The line leading from the firewall to the compressor is the low pressure line.
the line going from the compressor to the condenser located in front of the radiator is the high side.
Always charge with can in upright position through the low side line into the compressor.

Where is the high pressure connection for the air conditioner

hi! there,
usually located on high side or discharge presure of the compresor, the discharge service valve fitting equiped w/ cup and pin auto valve ,loosen and remove service cap of service valve fitting,.as you remove the service cap no leak should take place due to it has a pin to locked the pressure on the sysrem . the guage manifold has a host and service port at the end of the host, the sevice port has a tip ball inside port when you connect your pressure guage manifold to test the discharge pressure the tip ball of port will push the pin valve service fitting and opening occued on discharge service valve and the pressure gauge activated and you can the operating discharge pressure.

in your case opening of cap then leakage appear maybe the pin valve was mis aligned or distorted, the service valve was repairable it can repair, but you have to evacuate all freon inside the
system.freon leakage is bad for our environment
use evacuating pump and service tank, after the freon evacuated repair service valve there is pin remover to pull out pin valve sometime cup has pin remover or ask on car air service center.the pin valve has screw type spring attachment replace pin valve and recharge the system you can use the previuos freon on service tank evacuated.

A/C went out on a 1999 Chevy Cavalier

What do you mean by went out,if it just one day stopped working,it could just be low on freon.does the a/c compressor come on? to find out....start engine..turn a/c completely off....turn on a/ soon as you turn on a/c you should hear a click sound under the hood,if you dont hear click, you may just be a little low on can add freon yourself instead of paying alot at a some r134 refrigerant, walmart sells several differnt brands just make sure it comes with a hose to add with.find your a/c low pressure line on car.....connect hose attached to refrigerant bottle...snap onto fitting on low pressure on a/c line.....start car with ac on add refrigerant......soon you should here a click....if so that was the compressor coming on,add freon until guage on bottle is in the safe zone. Ihopoe this helps you,if it doesnt you may need to take it to a shop.
