Question about 1991 Ford F150
The Haynes is best for electrical diagram. Look carefully and mark in red the pages that cover your particular vehicle (engine size, etc), as they string along several that will be different engines, different in other ways.
Suggest you enlarge the page that has the best pic of the computer module and sensors and selenoids. If you get "Haynes Ford Pick Up and Bronco 1980 to 1996, I enlarged Chapter 12, which was page 12-42, and I see part of it says "diagram 2 of 10". You have to make several pages and cut carefully and use Scotch Magic Tape--
Then print out the 8 by 10 roughly of about 10 pages of the other. It is worth the trouble. The enlargement is to be designed to be your main help to diagnose the tricky electrical. Best to be prepared.
Having said that, most of what goes out is the grey TFI ignition module, fuel filter clogged, fuel pump, or fuel pump relay or fuel pump inertia switch. The filter changed will preserve the pump.
Also, with any vehicle, change serpentine belt before it goes--maybe after 50,000 miles. They first start to slip a little, and that does a bit of stress or damage on the items it turns.
In case I can be of more help--maybe you will have answer for me sometime.Excellent vehicle--kind you hang on to.
