I have a 93 c1500 starts good runs good until operating temp then spits n sputter loss of power n when I break the oil gauge drops n the truck will surge

i would check for possible head gaskets, look for water in the oil

Runs rough when it's warm. comes and goes. has a 2.7. and then a 99 dodge carvan with a 3.3 does the same thing.

Ruff idle after 10 minutes

First was it doing that before you changed the timing chain and second I have a 2005 Ford escape that was doing the same.I found some vacuum lines that had some small cracks in them so check all the vacuum lines and see if that helps.Good luck

You MUST have the electronic engine control module scanned for fault codes to even begin to diagnose the cause of this.

Loss of power

Loss of power after running for a while can be caused by anything from a partially clogged catalytic converter to engine overheating due to a faulty engine cooling system. Lots of other things can cause it as well.

Rough idle, power loss while driving

check /replace the fuel filter and check the fuel pump pressure before and after the bleed valve to the throttle injectors

Steve the result was a problem in the computer and clogged internals of motor. My problem know is Water pump Turned out to be a good motor Thanks Steve

SOURCE: engine power loss

Can you hear the turbo spooling up? If yes do you hear an air noise... could a number of things from bad turbo, air to air leaking or its piping, or something simple like a clogged fuel or air filter.

some power steering system is computer control. if you disconnect battery the control module have to be program.the control module uses vechicle speed sensor and steering wheel rotation sensor.to operate an actuator in the power steering pump to control pump pressure and steering assistance.
