How much volume in gallons does three quarter inch copper pipe if it is ten f9ot long.

Hi Wayne:
For my curious mind, what is the project that you need this for?

To solve the problem, the volume of the pipe is the cross sectional area times the length.
Area = pi r squared.
= 22/7 times .75 / 2 squared
= 3.1428571 times .375 times .375
= o.4419642 square inches

The pipe is 10 feet long, times 12 equals 120 inches long.
The pipe volume is 120 times 0.4419642 equals 53.035704 cubic inches.

The next part of the question is to convert cubic inches to gallons.
I use my Texas Instruments TI-1889
53.035704 to metric, in cubed to cm cubed = 869.09608
Divide by 1,000 equals .86909608 litres
From Metric, imp gal (I'm in Canada) to L = 0.1911781

Need to know the size of the bolts on starter for a 98 Izuzu rodeo mine are missing

the mounts?
well we have a box of metric bolts. (all shops do)
we try each 8mm or 10mm, ok one fits but is too short
so we go to store,
and buy longer bolts, using a ruler to measure what i need.
say i use a ruler and see i need, 3inch long bolts.(gren'go inches)
so 3" x 25.4 is 76.2mm or 75mm. long... (just and example!!!)
so if 8 mm fits i buy grade 8.8 or better bolts. in 8x75mm

(buy 2 bolts on in 8 and 10) and test fit them.
there is no other way. unless you have threads there.
do you?
if yes, any ruler and pitch gauge shows you what you have.
say the hole of thread seems like .31 inches, that is 8mm
and the pitch gauge shows.
most bolts this size are pitch 1.25
fine thread is 1.00 pitch.

all good shops (serious)
use this gauge.
http://www.amazon.com/Grip-Thread-Pitch-Gauge-SAE/dp/B004ROIU2A

ends guessing , and can be had for $2 on ebay.

ok i teach how to fish today.

Halfway point between 2 cities

run a ruler between the two points and half way will be half the distance of the ruler measurement multiplied by the scale of the map example if the ruler is 6 inches between the cities and half way is 3 inches and the scale is I inch equals 300 miles then 3 inches will be 900 miles ( scale is on the front or back of the map)

What is the halfway point between Stuarts Draft, Va. and McPherson, Kansas?

Wow another rocket science question. All maps are drawn to scale so simply place a ruler over the 2 places in question and measure off half way along the ruler and that will be half way between your towns. So if there are six inches between towns then at 3 inches will be half way between towns. Well--not really rocket science is it.

Needs catalytic converter .i need to know the sizes of the inlet and outlet pipe so i can use aftermarket part?

What model? What year? What engine?
How could anyone answer here without that info.

Get a piece of cardboard (not corugated) and scissors.
Cut a rectangular notch in the side of the carboard.
Try to slip it over the pipe where you want to measure.
Keep trimming until it JUST fits.
Measure that space with a ruler and you have the outside diameter of the pipe.

Aftermarket parts are available from major parts suppliers by providing make and model information at all the major parts web sites which I will not advertise the names. They will show you what they have that fits--- asuming all is still equal to orginal factory spec.

Be aware that while you don't have to purchase a CONVERTER from the dealer--- still in many locations the convertor has to meet the OEM specifications exactly (for example California). These will be less money than the dealer but not "cheap", because the part is certified for the application with the appropriate state or federal agency. I believe in general - stuff since 1997/98 falls into that category.

Need to know the exact size of rims for a 2008 323i sedan BMW

2008 BMW 323i 4 door sedan - factory wheel rim size

Rim size (standard factory spec):
16 inch by 7 inches wide.
Front and rear are the same size.

(It is possible to fit 17 or 18 inch rims to the car if you wish together with an appropriate lower profile tyre ).

(please note that different models in the 2008 3 series BMW have different size rims. For example, the 328 and higher level models runs larger rim sizes).

Hope this helps. Cheers
