The ignition coils or the ignition control module is not work or the wires are bad.In that case the ignition and the parts to it will need to be replaced.

The flashing engine light is the key. Connect it to a OBD2 scan tool and the code will tell you where the problem is. Garages will normally read the codes for free in the hopes of getting the work. A local garage will drive to you with a scan tool. It takes 3 minutes. Have a cold Fosters ready for him.
could be a number of thinks. spark plugs, as engine cold more fuel is added and if the spark is no good anymore it will not burn the fuel correctly in way fulds the spark plugs. other could be the fuel filter. and another can be the air filter. but would start with the spark plugs. most common problem. but if the others have not been done in a long time i would do them to. all these parts can restrict the engine.
run fault codes and check for crank/ cam position sensor fault as if they are faulty there will be no spark until the cpu knows where the piston position is.
