How does my remote started work?

Its a soleniod switch hooked in line between the battery and the ingition switch ie the key switch.
So you press the button it dose the same thing as turning the key to start pisition.
MY advice is get rid of it
It may be vary convenit on cold mornings but the down side is to big what if the radaitor is frozen or you have no oil pressure or you have some kind of a short and the vehicle catches unfire .
You take a risk starting your vehicle if you are not their to make decitions about how its running before the engine is toast or its burning in the garage or on the side of the house
They will tell you its safe I would never for any reason use a remote starter .

Ignition is frozen can not turn

Can you warm it up, maybe?

There are lock unfreezer sprays also available. If it were an outside lock, I'd recommend a little wee-wee
as an emergency measure, but not inside. How about warming the key with a heat source then inserting into the frozen lock?

Hi 1999 grand cherokee laredo ignition wont turn off,

Get a hammer and punch. Tap on punch next to key while turning key. This will free up frozen tumblers in ignition

I put the key in and it wont turn its frozen.

I had the same problem, turned out it was worn ignition switch tumbler pins. Try turning the key while tapping on top of the switch with a rubber mallet or sneaker. If it frees up, you need to remove the keyswitch and take it to a locksmith to have the pins replaced. Much cheaper than a new ignition switch.

My switch wont turn and alarm keep going off so how can i turn the switch

You can possibly not have the correct key and the door lock caqn be frozen with ice. The lock it'self might not be frozen but the locking mechcaizem may be. Try different doors as all the door locks will reset the alarm even the hatch. Just unlock it twitce and all the doors should unlock and the alarm reset. A locksmith can open the door for you if you think you have a key problem and once oped the battery can be disconnected the doors clsed with the window down and the key in the on position and then connect the battery and the computer will think the car is already on so the alarm will not be on and then you can turn the car to run and start it and get in and go.

Ac unit won't start.

U need to have a few things looked at
  1. Pressures are key to allowing the unit to work.
  2. Pressure switches not reading correct pressures.
  3. Electrical wiring issues ie. fuses, connections.
  4. AC Compressor frozen.
  5. Loose belt at the AC Compressor.
Start there im sure one of those might be what you have wrong.

if the clicking is repeated with out you releasing the key then the battry is in need of charging or replacing, if its a one click each time then the starter motor is faulty.
