Find your upper radiator hose and trace it back to your engine.There should be a little housing -probably with 2 bolts- and under that is your T-Stat.BTW do when the engine is cold-

Firing diagram for 1993 pontaic sunbird with 2.0


Looking at the engine from the front of the car; #1 cylinder is on the LEFT and counts #2, #3, #4 to the right. The firing order is 1-3-4-2.

Why is my 1993 pontiac sunbird overheating? Full on antifreeze and oil, new thermostat...haven't checked water pump.


IF OVERHEATING WHILE SITTING AND IDLING MORE LIKELY COOLANT FAN NOT COMING ON CHECK COOLANT FAN FUSE AND RELAY BUT IT. COULD BE FAULTY COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR.LAST RESORT IF EVERYTHING CHECK OUT OKAY HOTWIRE COOLANT FAN.IF RUNS ELECTRICAL WIRE CONNECTOR HAS DAMAGE WIRES.IF FAN DONT RUN YOU HAVE TO REPLACE FAN MOTOR.

Changing heater blower motor in a 1993 pontiac sunbird


  1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
  2. Disconnect blower motor electrical connections.
  3. On 1989 models, remove plastic water shield from right side of cowl.
  4. On 1990-92 3.1L/V6-192 engines, remove tower to tower brace assembly.
  5. On all models, remove blower motor retaining screws and blower motor.
  6. Reverse procedure to install.

1993 sunbird leaking antifreeze from firewall on drivers side


This are a leaking from the litle radiator inside the heater, the could be the tap . for to fix this you must takke down the heater and then you can see if the are the radiator ore the tap som are leaking.
