If it runs on either, then it is the fuel pump or the lines is pinched or restricted some where. Fuel pumps an pump, but is it putting out enough pressure.

Renault laguna 1.9 dci injection fault on dash but car performs fine

probally be a good idea to have a local shop run a fuel system check to eliminate alot of wasted time or money. its well worth the time to have it properly checked by a trained mechanic. alot of engine problems the computer picks up wont be noticed at first and can lead to expensive repairs

My ford freestar 2004 wont start it is nit getting fuel changed the fuel pump and still fuel wont go thru

Change the fuel filter and check two items.
1. Check to see if your fuel pump relay is good, you can do this by swapping say the a/c relay for it and the fuel pump for the a/c. If ac doesn't work but the van will run then you need to replace the relay.
2. in the event of a crash, you have what is called a emergency fuel cut-off switch which is usually located in the kick panel on the drivers side. Make sure it hasn't been tripped or better yet gone bad.

Renault laguna sports tourer 1.9 dci wont start

Try the relays under the bonnet fuse box 4 small black ones in a line, the first 2 from top cut of the fuel pump, and are a renowned cause of 85% of cranking without starting faults on the dci engine swap them over for the bottom 2 .
If it starts, buy 2 from Renault and fit
if the engine still fails to start the egr valve may be stuck closed starving the engine of air, its on the top of the engine at the air intake and has 3 bolts, remove it and clean it with carb cleaner then check its condition, if it appears ok, replace the cleaned one, if not you need a new one or the turbo will blow its seals and the engine will rev and burn on the engines own oil.
beyond this and your diy fixes are at an end without a obd2 code reader.

Renault Laguna 2.2 diesel cutting out and difficulty starting

for this heap of doogy doo their is only one solution without spending lots of cash and that is apart from burning it ,is to fit a in-line fuel pump with a relay these cars a renouwn for playing up like this .dealer sees you coming and yes you will lay the golden egg ...regardless trust me.fit a in-line pump in the fuel line to maintain pressure if this doesnt work then its not the fuel /injector pump as they will have you beleave and charge accordingly to remove and send to diesel overhaul shop or just fit a new one but it will be the ECU management system which is over a thousand euros and you cant fit it yourself as it has to be programmed and its encrypted software dealer only.Dealer wont tell you this untill they have changed everything eles at a cost of up too 1000 euros then say its a specialist renault problem and the car is then moved to another garage for a second opinion then the renault rep has to look then the answer is the ECU ,trust me on this one been their and have the teashirt for a customer and yes its a true story.
