Question about 2003 Volvo S60

1 Answer

Volvo S-60 03, non turbo B5244S, has had check engine light on for years, replaced front O2 sensor, reading is a ECM 4201. One volvo mechanic states replace fuel injectors first, another mechanic states to replace CAT converter, not sure what to do? Car runs great no issues with power. When I remove light it comes back on within 2 days with same code.

Replace the cat you have ran it for years with a bad 02 sensor so now replace it and you will get better performance and better gas miliage. Never run a check engine light fo a long time it's telling you something is wrong. youer lucky you did not destroy the engine.

What do I when my 98 volvo s70 2.4L engine has trouble codes po133 & po442?

Po133 is and oxygen sensor code. Replace the front oxygen sensor use a bosch or OE sensor only. P0442 is and evap system leak. Most common fault is a cracked hose at the evap cannister at the right rear of the car.

Hi, I have a 1999 Volvo S80 2.4 auto. Recently the temperature gauge on the car either has not moved to the halfway mark (it only moves a couple of bars) and will stay there or it will, after a short

Typically a thermostat stuck open will cause the gauge not to move because the water/engine will not heat up. If you havent already, I Suggest you see if the local Advanced auto, dealer or someone who can read the engine temperature with an infrared thermostat so you can see if the problem is the guage/sending unit and also read the fault codes if you have check engine lights of any kind on your dash. With these codes I will be able to tell you exactly what needs to be fixed/replaced. Could be an ECU, sensor, relay, fuse, bad ground etc. My name is Tim, I work for a company called AutoEcu1 we see all kinds of different ecu ecm tcu tcu abs ebcm throttle body climate control etc etc etc from any given vehicle about 1986 up 2011 or newer. I am more then happy to help you resolve this quickly and correctly feel free to post here or call when you get the codes or if you have questions.
Regards,
-Tim

MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON IN I TOOK MY CAR TO AUTOZONE AND THE CODE READ P1152 IS THERE ANYTHING I COULD DO OR WHAT KIND OF HELP I NEED TO FIX THIS PROBLEM

A P1152 for a Volvo is thrown by the ECM-290A, front oxygen sensor, signal too high

Possible causes are an air leak in the exhaust, wiring fault, or a bad O2 sensor (this being the most probable cause).

Can't find a test for the vehicle speed sensor.

The bad news is the only part that is connected to all of these is the ECM or computer.

SRS light stays on-mechanic says they want you to replace ''things'' and check system out after 10 years, so light automatically comes on and stays on. If car was never in a crash, not necessary. Correct?...

your mechanic is obviously trying to get you to pay for minute repairs...unless something is obviously wrong it could be a fuse...or their might be a problem...cant be sure without seeing the vehicle myself...but dont go paying for a bunch of random replacements it wont change the light situation....and yes it is turboed

2004 volvo s 60 check engine light on

I would replace the bad 02 sensor and also have the engine checked for a tune up and fuel injection purge. Make sure whoever does the repairs clears the ECM memory so the light will go out. Bad spark plugs and dirty fuel injectors can cause a rich condition that a weak 02 sensor can't keep up with.
