Question about 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada

1 Answer

Air suspension won't allow truck to rise

I have a 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada. It normally lowers itself while parked and will rise when I am ready to drive again. I understand that this is how it is suppose to be, but now it won't raise up. I can hear the compressor, however no movement is happening. What do I need to do? Is it something that I can do myself?

Try finding an air leak, did yo hit something in the road? also look for the leveling valve to see if it's leaking if it is then replace it and you can fix it just don't jack it up without the compressor unpluged.

How can i find the leak in my bravada rear air suspension?

I've never dealt with this type of air system, but for other types of leaks I use soapy water in a spray bottle. Try spraying it over the airbag - the leak may show itself via small bubbles!

Back end sits very low

I bought an '02 Bravada a couple months ago. I was told that this is normal. Since it's an air ride suspension the air escapes when the vehicle is not in use like overnight. Then after starting up the air compressor will turn on and inflate the air ride suspension.
