You first open the glove box remove contents, on each side you will see a black plastic tab that is what keeps it from openin to far those just pop out you have to hold glove box shut a little pop them out then just wiggle them out its easy. Then shut the glove box there should be a couple hinges at the bottom maybe three remove the bolt that hold them on then open glove box and take it off. Ok know for the bad news that bar that the glove box bolted to you have to remove it or the cabin filter wont come out just tal the bolts out that hold it on there will be one on the passenger side that is in backwards its not that bad the one on the closest to the driver side that is in backwards can be a little trickey. I have seen some just leave that one in and bend the bar slightly, but I always remove it the about in the middle of where the glove box was you will see a black slender cover that runs up and down it jus pops off you will be able to tell by the tabs on the top and bottom. then just slide the cabin filter out and remove any leaves or debris if there is any replace cabin filter make sure you put the airflow going the right way should have arrow on it. Then replace in reverse order.

Where is the cabin filter on a 2003 honda odysseey

The cabin filter is located behind the glovebox.
First lower and remove the glovebox
If it has not been changed before, you will need to cut the plastic crossbrace behind the glovebox.
Once out of the way, unbolt the steel reinforcing frame behind the plastic and set it aside.
The cabin filter is mounted vertically behind it.

Can't find the ''cabin air filter'' on my 1996 Honda Odyssey

A 1996 Honda Odyssey is not equipped with a cabin air filter. If I was looking for a restriction in the cabin air, the first place I would look is on the inlet side of the A/C condensor. ALL cabin air travels through the A/C condensor ALL of the time. (The heater core only sees air when the temp door is not directing the air around it and always after it has been through the condensor first.) I have seen gunk as hard as concrete clogging the condensor just from layers of dirt that collects on the wet coils then dries.

Please describe how to replace a cabin air filter for a 2003 odyssey

after you take the glove box out, (if its the first time the filter has been replaced), there is a plastic part of the dash going across the evaporator case, you will need to cut this out. and unbolt the metal brace going across, behind the glove box. Its hard to explain, but when you get the glove box off, you will see what needs to be done to get the filter out. the filter cover is a vertical panel about 1.5" wide and 10"tall. the part that you need to cut is needed when the dash is made, but no longer needed when its bolted into the car.

Where is the cabin air filter of 2005 Odyssey located and how can the cabin filter be changed.

I have a factory manual for 1999-2004 but I believe the filter is in the same location on a 2005. First, you have to remove the glove box. It's a straight forward process with a phillips head screwdriver and a 10mm socket. The filter is in the middle of the black plastic air handler behind the glove box. It is in a vertical slot covered by a narrow "door" with clips on top and bottom. If it has never been changed before, you will have to cut out the horizontal plastic cross brace that kept the dash assembly from warping during manufacture. Cut with a hack saw at each end of the plastic brace and remove it. You'll notice a metal cross brace that can be removed with screws at each end. Once the braces are removed, it is easy to unclip the filter door and replace the filter. Then just put everything back except the plastic cross brace you removed; it can be thrown out.

How to replace air filter for 2007 Odyssey

Hw to change air filte rin 2007 Honda Odyssey

The problem with other web instructions is little guidance on how exactly to remove the glove box. First, the little cover over the control am needs to be pulled off (down towards you). Either fingers or a screwdriver.

Next, trickiest part is removing the retaining tabs. See instructions here: http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/AI/AII38194.pdf

Basicaly, there is no way to ge behind the glove box to compress the release tabs. So insert a scredrver into the plastic tab cover from the insider of the glove box and just pull towards you until it pops out. When reinserting just place back (with the retainer cylinders poking back through the opening from inside the glove box) and press back in until it snaps.

On the 07 Ody, once you ave the control arm released and the two retaining tabs removed, the glove box should fold down completely. Then just press towards each other the two black end tabls holding the ac filter compartment door. Took me 30 min to figure out, hopefully with this should take you 5 ...

Remove the glove box.

Cut the plastic brace in the glove box opening with a suitable cutter and discard it.

Remove the bolts and screws and the glove box frame.

Remove the filter cover from the evaporator. Then remove the filter.

Put in the new one and put it all back together.

Good Luck

Replacement of cabin air filter

first remove the glove box. At the bottom of the glove box opening there is a plastic crossbeam that is there to keep things from twisting during manufacture. This crossbeam is no longer needed once the dash assembly is completely installed and must be removed to gain access to the cabin air filter. Cut the crossbeam at each end with a small hacksaw or diagonal cutting pliers and remove it. Behind it is the steel glovebox frame crossmember. It has screws at each end and can be removed easily. Once these two cross beams are out of the way, you can unlatch the filter cover--its vertical and has integral latching clips at top and bottom. Slide out the old filter. Replace with new. Reverse steps to put back to right.
